TINA SHAO (TAIWAN)

Dr. Tingwen –Tina– Shao is appointed full time as an Associate Professor of Music at the Tainan University of Technology. She teaches piano performances, keyboard literature, and performance practice, while also serving as president of the Tainan Music Teachers’ Association, and the Bureau of Social Affairs of Tainan Municipal City Government since 2018. Her piano students have won many national and international competitions in Asia, United States and Europe.

Dr. Shao has released books such as Franz Liszt’s Transcription of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in A Minor (BWV 543), Thumb Technique, Painting in Music, Beethoven’s Piano Sonatas Op.31 No.2, Op.57 and Op. 81a: An Interpretative Research published by the Tainan University of Technology Press.

Dr. Shao is on faculty at ASIA International Piano Academy and Festival in South Korea, as well as the Montecito Music Festival in the United States. She had also appeared in the Cremona Music Festival in Italy as a performing artist over past summers. Her musical events can be appreciated throughout musical centers in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Russia, Canada, Italy and the United States.

Dr. Shao has received Certificate Recognition for outstanding contributions in the music field issued by Houston City Council.
